Brand history ~About Hermle~

The watch manufacturer Hermle began its history nearly 100 years ago at the foot of the Swabian Alps. Since then, the company has maintained its commitment to preserving traditional techniques and exceptional craftsmanship, meticulously crafting all of its watch mechanisms by hand. The company's watches are produced entirely in-house in a tranquil environment using the highest quality materials. These exceptional timepieces not only display precise time, but also feature artistic design and exceptional durability, transforming the everyday into something truly special. Furthermore, its skilled watchmakers undergo rigorous training spanning approximately three and a half years to master their advanced techniques. While maintaining the traditional system of winding the mainspring once every eight days, they pass on this reliable technique to the next generation. Now, more than 100 years after its founding, Hermle has also produced an innovative watch called the Tellurium. This device, which reproduces the zodiac signs and the movement of celestial bodies like a small planetarium and also features a striking mechanism, rotates only once a year to represent the Earth's 23.5-degree tilt, making it the culmination of advanced technology known in the watchmaking world as a "grand complication." In this way, Hermle continues to provide customers around the world with the beauty and precision of timekeeping, backed by tradition, innovation, and the undeniable reliability of German quality.

One Company (Hermle), Three Powerful Business Units

Founded in the early 1920s, Hermle was already known as one of the most modern watch manufacturing facilities in the world by 1930. Its commitment to high precision and quality led to the expansion of its business, and for decades Hermle has earned a reputation for its three strong business areas: watches, movements, and turned parts.

Close proximity to customers, a problem-solving mindset, and optimized manufacturing methods
These three elements form the core of Helmle's manufacturing.
